It's a big question. One that many people never venture to answer. One that some people start to explore and don't know how to discover themselves. One that few people ever really know.
“Some lose all mind and become soul, insane. some lose all soul and become mind, intellectual. some lose both and become accepted”
― Charles Bukowski
Whether you've gone insane, devoted yourself to you intellectualise, or hidden away your mind and soul aiming to be accepted, you are here, reading this now, because a little voice inside called out wanting to be heard, your mind and your soul, reconnected.
But how? How do we know who we are? How do we start the discovery process of seeking out who we were, before the world told us to be someone else?
My own journey was to lose my soul and become mind. To intelectualise everything. As such, even though I have in many ways, with many left to go, connected with my soul, I still like to think through models and frames.
As a coach, as a person on their own self-discovery journey and a parent I've come across many many models and frames that are told to help us connect more deeply with who we are. At this stage, these are my favourites:
From exploring ourselves through models, deep and meaningful conversations and personal reflections we can further discover who we think we are, who we were before the world told us we couldn't be, and how to start to closing that gap and reconnecting, restoring and living our lives in a way that aligns with who we were born to become...
Enjoy the journey.
